Worksafe Nederland is a family business specialising in independent advice and the inspection of fall protection. When Kevin Scholten took over from his father more than eleven years ago, he had one clear mission: to relieve customers of all concerns when it comes to working safely at height. This goes beyond inspecting and advising on roof safety systems alone. It also includes provisions for safe roof access and personal protective equipment. Sometimes these facilities are already in place, such as a hoop or escape ladder. In other cases, they may involve separate ladders and steps available in the technical room to reach, for example, a roof hatch.
For the registration, planning, and inspection of these resources, Worksafe relies on Centix. This provides customers with immediate insight into their assets, while saving time internally and creating space for further growth. We spoke with Kevin about his experiences with Centix and how it contributes to the daily success of Worksafe Nederland.
The choice for Centix: efficiency and professionalism
Before Worksafe started working with Centix, processes looked very different. “In the very beginning, everything was done the old-fashioned way with Word and PDFs. Later, with the help of a subsidy, I had a programmer develop a custom system. We used that before Centix, but it would have required so much investment to get it to the right level and keep it there,” Kevin recalls.
Still, they briefly explored other alternatives. “We were quite far in discussions with another provider. I like minimalism and the power of simplicity, but that was not the case with them, especially for customers managing multiple buildings,” Kevin explains. Through Bartels Technische Inspecties, with whom Worksafe has been collaborating for more than ten years, he was introduced to Centix. “Then I thought: why don’t we start with that?”
The switch turned out to be exactly the right move. According to Kevin, there are three key reasons for working with Centix: greater internal efficiency, the ability to deliver reports immediately after an inspection, and the professional impression customers gain of their assets.

Each item is fitted with a QR code sticker, allowing inspections to be carried out immediately by simply scanning it. Reports are available almost instantly, creating a complete digital overview. This not only saves time but also eases the workload on the back office. “Without Centix, we would definitely need two extra people in the office to process all the reports. Now we can manage it with the same team.”
Added value for customers and safety
Customers also benefit greatly. With a single scan of a QR code or through the online portal, certificates and inspection results are immediately accessible. “It is so much more professional to be able to tell a customer that they can view the certificate for an item on their phone. We are getting this request more and more often, especially for work at height where the risk profile is high and inspections are becoming increasingly strict,” explains Kevin.
In addition, Centix contributes to stronger safety awareness among customers. Each individual item is registered and labelled with its own sticker, making its status clear to everyone. “We are noticing that awareness is increasing. Customers can be confident that their equipment is safe to use. Without that structure, you sometimes see in the market that a single sticker is placed on a roof hatch as proof that everything on the roof has been inspected. We do not believe that is a good way of working. With Centix, each item receives its own inspection certificate, which makes the process far more transparent and much safer.”
Future with Centix: controlled growth
The use of Centix not only makes Worksafe more efficient and professional, it also prepares the company for the future. “With Centix, we are growing faster, but in a controlled way,” says Kevin. In the coming period, Worksafe aims to further expand its capabilities, including the invoicing module. This will save additional time internally and provide even greater convenience for customers. Kevin concludes: “We can grow faster in a controlled way, and that gives us confidence for the future.”
