During periods such as public holidays, or other leave periods, equipment is often temporarily not in use. To avoid mistakenly charging rental costs on days when the equipment is not being used, it is important to record these non-working days in the holiday overview of your workable days schedule in Centix.
By correctly entering these days, you ensure that only the appropriate days are charged.
How to set non-working days
- Go to the Admin panel in your Centix environment.
- Navigate to System tables and select ‘Workable days’ under the General section.
- Choose the right schedule and click on the ‘Holidays’ tab.
- Add the (public) holidays that you want to exclude from rental charges.
Check the workable days schedule on your orders
To ensure that no rental costs are charged during public holidays, the workable days schedule must be filled in on the order.
This is usually set by default through the order system settings.
If this is not the case, public holidays will be treated as workable days and will therefore be charged as normal.
We recommend checking your active orders and ensuring that the workable days schedule is correctly applied to avoid unnecessary costs.
Summary
Add public holidays to the holiday section of the workable days schedule. Check that this schedule is linked to your orders. This way, you only charge for days when the equipment is actually in use.
