Inspections in Centix
Centix offers a simple solution for all your inspections, whether it’s an equipment inspection after rental, an LMRA inspection of your equipment before starting work, or a PAT testing or scaffolding inspection for safety compliance. Thanks to comprehensive standard checklists, you can carry out almost all inspections quickly and easily. Our maintenance and inspection plans (MI plans) are fully customisable, allowing you to tailor them to your specific requirements.
Perform inspections on-site with Centix OnSite
With Centix OnSite, you can easily perform inspections and servicing on-site. Scan or search for the equipment, select the correct inspection plan and go through the inspection questions. If a deviation is identified, you can select it directly from a standard list. This minimises manual typing and allows you to work faster and more consistently. You can also add notes and photos and visually mark deviations. After completing the inspection, the status and validity date are automatically updated and an inspection certificate is generated immediately.

PAT testing
Electrical tools are subject to mandatory PAT testing. For inspectors, this can be a time-consuming and labour-intensive task. With Centix, the process becomes significantly easier.
Centix allows you to easily import measurement values from PAT testers. Once the measurement file has been processed, the inspection status and validity date are updated automatically. In addition, a certificate is automatically generated for each tool, clearly recording all measurement values. This saves time, prevents manual errors and ensures you always have a complete and up-to-date record.
Linking with PAT testers
Centix supports the linking of various PAT testers as standard. Below, you can find the supported PAT testers for each brand.

Full control over calibrations
For organisations that perform calibrations internally, structured documentation is essential. Measuring instruments such as scales, pressure gauges and multimeters must demonstrably measure accurately to ensure quality, safety and compliance.
With Centix, you centrally manage the entire calibration process, from planning to reporting. Internal calibrations are supported with instrument-specific calibration plans, automatic reminders and comprehensive reports. All measurement results, protocols and certificates are clearly recorded and instantly available. This eliminates separate Excel files, reduces manual administration and helps you maintain full control over your entire calibration management process.
Support for test benches
You can easily link your own test applications to Centix via our API. Examples include solutions for manometers, torque wrenches, tensile test benches, calibrators, valves, fittings, and stray boxes — in fact, too many to list. This ensures that your Centix Online system integrates seamlessly with your specific application.
“Since we started working with Centix, our inspections have been at least 25% faster,
without compromising on quality or safety.”
“I no longer have to chase people to inspect equipment. The Centix system handles it for me now. It sends my colleagues an email when inspections are due. I find that ideal and it saves me a lot of time!”
“With Centix, we now have a clear picture of our maintenance history and get automatic notification when a piece of equipment needs to be inspected.”
Maintenance in Centix
With Centix, you manage all your maintenance activities centrally in one system. Centix supports both time-based maintenance and usage-based maintenance. Both maintenance methods can easily be used alongside each other or combined.
This ensures maintenance is always scheduled at the right moment and helps prevent unexpected failures, downtime and manual administration.
Time-based maintenance
Time-based maintenance is performed at fixed intervals. This is the most common approach and helps ensure maintenance and inspections are carried out on time, before problems arise.
You can easily define maintenance intervals per asset type, ensuring that motors, pumps, vehicles and valves are always maintained on schedule. Centix automatically monitors when maintenance is required and sends timely notifications and reminders. This helps prevent overdue maintenance and keeps your equipment safe and reliable.
With Centix OnSite, maintenance activities can easily be performed on-site via mobile phone or tablet, even without an internet connection.
Use-based maintenance
Usage-based maintenance is scheduled based on actual usage, such as operating hours or driven kilometres. Maintenance is planned according to these meter readings, ensuring it takes place exactly when needed. This means maintenance is only carried out when truly necessary.
Centix makes it easy to record and continuously monitor meter readings, giving you constant insight into the usage of your assets. This maintenance method is ideal for engines, generators, conveyor belts and service vehicles, among others.
Combining maintenance methods
In practice, time-based and usage-based maintenance are often combined. This is especially useful for vehicles that are not used intensively, such as fire trucks. A vehicle may require maintenance after a certain number of kilometres. If that number is not reached within a year, maintenance is still carried out based on time. This ensures your equipment always remains safe and reliable.
Outsourcing maintenance and inspections? No problem with Centix
With Centix, outsourcing inspections and maintenance is easy to manage. Whether it concerns outsourcing the calibration of measuring instruments or complete external inspections, Centix offers three practical options:
1. Data exchange via Centix2Centix
When the inspection company also works with Centix, completed inspections and certificates can easily be sent to your own environment via Centix2Centix (C2C). There, they are clearly available for review and processing. After processing, a complete and up-to-date record is created within your own environment, without separate exports or manual imports.
2. External party works in your environment
If the inspection company does not use Centix, access can be granted to your own Centix environment. Inspections are then carried out directly in the system, ensuring the administration remains automatically up to date.
3. Uploading inspection data
In situations where no access is granted to the environment, inspection data and certificates can easily be added manually in Centix.
Whichever option you choose, you always maintain overview and all information remains available in one central place.

A good example of collaboration with external inspection companies is the partnership between Dunea and CE-ESTER. In this situation, CE-ESTER inspectors log directly into Dunea’s Centix environment to perform inspections. The inspection data is stored immediately in the system, ensuring the administration is instantly up to date.
When both parties work with Centix, this collaboration can also take place via Centix2Centix.
“Compliance with laws, regulations from our suppliers, and our own policies and safety standards necessitates regular checks, inspections, and maintenance. By managing this process through Centix, we maintain control.”
“Thanks to the online platform we have with Centix, I can serve multiple customers simultaneously. With Centix, my customers’ inspections and maintenance are always up-to-date. That’s essential.”
“None of the alternatives even come close to matching Centix’s capabilities.”
