Inspections in Centix
Centix offers a simple solution for all your inspections, whether it’s an equipment inspection after rental, an LMRA inspection of your equipment before starting work, or a PAT testing or scaffolding inspection for safety compliance. Thanks to comprehensive standard checklists, you can carry out almost all inspections quickly and easily. Our maintenance and inspection plans (MI plans) are fully customisable, allowing you to tailor them to your specific requirements.
With the Centix OnSite App, you can perform inspections and tests effortlessly. Scan or search for the equipment, select the right inspection plan, and go through the inspection questions. If an anomaly is detected, you can quickly select it from a standard list, minimising typing. You also have the option to add a note or photo. Mark the deviation on the photo and complete the inspection. The status and validity date are immediately updated in Centix, and an inspection certificate is automatically generated.

PAT testing
PAT testing for inspectors can be a time-consuming and labour-intensive task. With Centix, the process is significantly simplified.
Centix enables the automatic retrieval of measurement data directly from the PAT tester. Once the measurement file is imported, the status and validity date of the tool are automatically updated in Centix. A certificate is then generated for each tool, displaying all measurement values clearly.
Linking with PAT testers
Centix supports the linking of various PAT testers as standard. Below, you can find the supported PAT testers for each brand.
Support for test benches
You can easily link your own test applications to Centix via our API. Examples include solutions for manometers, torque wrenches, tensile test benches, calibrators, valves, fittings, and stray boxes — in fact, too many to list. This ensures that your Centix Online system integrates seamlessly with your specific application.

"With Centix, we now have a clear picture of our maintenance history and get automatic notification when a piece of equipment needs to be inspected."

"I no longer have to chase people to inspect equipment. The Centix system handles it for me now. It sends my colleagues an email when inspections are due. I find that ideal and it saves me a lot of time!"

"What I appreciate about working with Centix is the ability to directly retrieve PAT tester values. You connect it to the computer and it automatically syncs with Centix. This eliminates the need to first write down the values on paper and then input them into the computer, reducing the error rate."

Maintenance in Centix
At Centix, we provide a comprehensive solution for managing all your maintenance activities. We make a clear distinction between two approaches: time-based maintenance and usage-based maintenance. Both methods can easily be used alongside one another and combined.
Time-based maintenance
Time-based maintenance is performed at fixed time intervals. This is the most common approach within Centix and helps you carry out regular inspections and maintenance before issues arise. You can set different time intervals for each type of asset, ensuring that motors, pumps, and valves are always maintained on time. This helps prevent unexpected downtime and keeps your assets operating efficiently. Thanks to the Centix OnSite App, you can easily perform maintenance wherever and whenever you choose, even without an internet connection.
Use-based maintenance
Use-based maintenance focuses on how often and intensively an asset is used, such as the number of running hours or kilometres driven. Maintenance is scheduled based on measured meter readings, ensuring it takes place at exactly the right time. This approach guarantees that maintenance is only performed when it is truly needed. Centix supports this process by allowing you to track meter readings, which is ideal for assets such as engines, generators, conveyors, and service trucks.
Additionally, a combination of time-based and use-based maintenance can be applied in Centix. This is particularly useful for assets like vehicles that do not run very often, such as fire trucks. For example, a fire truck may be serviced after a certain number of kilometres. If the vehicle doesn’t reach that number within a year, a service visit will still be required.
Outsourcing maintenance and inspections? No problem with Centix
With Centix, outsourcing maintenance and inspections is made simple. Whether it’s outsourcing the calibration of measuring instruments or complete external inspections, Centix offers two practical options.
You can grant external parties access to your Centix environment, allowing them to carry out inspections directly in the system. This keeps everything organised and ensures that records are automatically updated. Alternatively, you can easily upload inspection data into Centix. Whichever option you choose, you’ll always have an overview, with all information in one place.
A good example of this in practice is the collaboration between Dunea and CE-ESTER. Dunea uses the first option, where external inspectors—specifically CE-ESTER’s inspectors—log into their Centix environment and perform inspections directly. The inspection data is stored in the system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.Â
