Centix Online software
Centix Online forms the foundation of the Centix database. Within it, you can record various elements such as objects, locations, relations, and persons.
Depending on your needs, additional modules can be activated, for example, if you wish to allocate the use of equipment to a project or work with digital work orders. Through standardised partner plug-ins, it is possible to integrate Centix seamlessly into your own industry-specific or financial software package. Prefer to create your own integration? You automatically have access to our open API, or you can have a custom plug-in developed.

Licence structure
Our software solution always starts with Centix Online Basis. This licence includes the most frequently used functionalities, which are sufficient for most companies. With Centix Online Basis comes one modify user licence. If you have multiple modify users, this does not necessarily mean that you need to purchase multiple licences. The number of user licences is equal to the number of modify users that are regularly logged in simultaneously.
If the number of modify user licences is exceeded, we never block access to the Centix environment. The philosophy behind this is that certificates, security documents, etc. should always be retrievable. However, if the number of licences is frequently exceeded, we do make a proposal to adjust the number of licences.

Centix Online in five categories
Object management
One of the basic functionalities in Centix is managing objects to and from locations and registering and performing maintenance and inspections. You can manage equipment, tools, machines and vehicles, installations, parts and consumables. For each object there is a bill-of-material where the user, depending on the rights, can view certain information. With Centix you can easily ‘move’ the objects using various functionalities in the Web or with Centix OnSite and all changes are logged.
Location management
All available locations are defined in Centix. You can define the types of location yourself, such as a warehouse, yard, vehicle, vessel, employee, project, department, etc. Objects currently present at a location are placed on that location in Centix. These are objects in someone’s work bus, in stock, in the warehouse, or present in a certain department. If the object changes location, record this in Centix. It is also possible to link locations to each other in order to create a hierarchical structure of, for example, a building. In the image on the right you see a location bill-of-material with data, objects present, documentation and even an option to submit a service request for a location.
Relationship management - CRM
Relations in Centix are, for example, suppliers, Ltd.’s within a group, business units within an organisation, or your customers whose data is stored in your configuration. You record details about this relation in Centix: from basic data to financial data. To define the correct owner of created objects and locations, they are assigned to the correct relation. You also register persons and users in detail with Centix and link them to a relationship. Centix’s extensive rights model allows you to determine what a relationship or person can see and what he/she can do.
Document management
Managing documents is a standard functionality in Centix Online. This includes certificates and reports, but also user manuals, (technical) drawings, safety regulations, photos, permits, general terms and conditions, et cetera. These documents can be saved in different languages and revisions and they can be linked to objects, locations, relations or maintenance and inspection plans. It is possible to determine for each document type who may or may not view it. With a QR code sticker on an object, a user can easily request the latest certificate or user manual. As a result, everyone always and everywhere has the right information.
Maintenance and inspections
In addition to asset management, Centix offers extensive support for maintenance and to manage inspections, deliveries and inspections. In Centix you can link one or more maintenance and inspection plans to an object. This has a self-defined term, but also contains a checklist with questions or tasks that must be checked off during maintenance or inspection. We have standard checklists for the most common inspections. But these checklists are also quite quick and easy to create yourself. Carrying out and completing such a checklist can be done with Centix OnSite. After completion, a certificate is generated immediately.

In addition, they provide you with education and training so that you can successfully organize your work with Centix from day one.
Centix has two data centers at the Scienceparc in Amsterdam. The data centers are approximately 800 meters apart and are connected with a dark fiber connection. The management of the VMs (virtual machines) is done by our sister company Staro Automatisering so that no ‘external’ employees have to access our data. Naturally, all parties involved are certified with at least ISO 27001 certification.
You can create an unlimited number of users. Centix Online operates on the principle of concurrent users. For example, Centix Online Basis includes one concurrent ‘edit’ user and ten concurrent ‘view’ users. This means that users are only recognised by Centix as concurrent users when they are logged in. Additional concurrent users can be ordered individually.
Centix attaches great importance to the development of the software. This means that we release new functionalities every two weeks. You will be kept informed of the latest changes via the newsletter and release notes.
Some of our customers notice after a while that the functionalities shown in the newsletter, on the website, etc., are not visible in their environment. This is usually because the functionality is not enabled by the rights module, for example, menu items are missing, etc. We always advise customers to attend user days, webinars, and allocate 1-2 days of budget per year to let our specialists support you with the latest developments.
Centix Online Basis runs on the web. The minimum operating system requirement is Windows Server 2016 Web Edition, while Windows Server 2019 Standard is recommended. In addition, it is advised to have 16 GB of RAM and 25 GB of disk space available. The minimum and recommended screen resolution is 1024 x 768, with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 installed.
